So, anyone planning to attend this year?  I'd love to, but it's just so far away.  One thing I'd have to do if I did go... see the ocean!  I've never seen the ocean!  Cry

You all thought I'd say John didn't you!  Wahah. Tongue  Of course, if he were there. ^^

I won't be going to the convention this year either. Who knows though, one of these years I just might make it there. Until then, I will just have to keep dreaming and there is nothing wrong with that. Wink

I did go to convention last year in Pittsburgh, and loved every minute of it.  It is very expensive though, and I'm looking at this year but I just don't know if im going to be able to go this round or not.  But i'm still holding out and hoping I can work it to go this year.  I met a lot of people there last year and all were just great fantastic people.  Shari Anton (author) was really a sweet lady and we had a really good time talking for a while one evening.  And of course the guys were just great.  Well, the one's I talked to anyway, some I didn't get the opportunity to meet though.  As much as I love the beach and would love to hit Orlando this year, I think I would rather wait and hit next year, If i'm remembering right it's in New Orleans and I absoultely love that city.  But we'll see.

Wow, New Orleans would be a great place to have it. I have always wanted to go there. I hope to get to go to the convention some day. I would love to meet the authors as well as the cover models.

I won't be able to attend, although I'd love to.  Starting school, no monies... so yeah, not going. XD

I'm saving money to visit friends in Virginia, and also for our 10th anniversary.  Have to go somewhere special for the ten year mark after all. ^^

Going to see a new grandson is definitely worth waiting until next year for the convention.  Smiley Congratulations on the new grandchild Claudia.

Hi All, I'm a new member and I meet Joan over at MySpace.

I'm not going to the RT Convention either, too expensive.  Last year I attended the book signing at the Chicago Spring Fling and spent way way to much money buying books.  But it was so much fun to meet Eloisa James (she looks just like her picture), Pat White, Janette Kenny and Debbie Macomber.

Hi Danielle and welcome to our forum. So glad you decided to join. Smiley I know how easy it is to buy a lot of books. There are just so many wonderful stories to choose from that it is hard to walk away with just one, lol. I usually walk out of the store with at least 2 if not more. That is so cool that you got to meet Eloisa James, Pat White, Janette Kenny and Debbie Macomber. I have not had the pleasure of meeting any of the authors yet but I hope to someday. I love to read Eloisa James books, she is just an awesome writer. As far as the Romance convention goes, I guess we will all just have to dream of the day we can afford to attend.

Ohio sounds so much better to me, lol, since it is really close to Michigan. Maybe if things go well, I will get a chance to go next year. Congratulations Annie on the upcoming grandchild!
